My mind went in a thousand directions at once. Should I say meditation? Another language? The concept that not only am I "enough" and "worthy," but I am GREATNESS?
But the truth is, I am where I am today because of the journey I took to get here. Eliminating my obstacles would not end up making me stronger, just as helping a chick out of its egg only makes it weaker. So I would not want to change a thing.

Another person. Truly, the only thing we can directly change is ourselves, and when we change ourselves we affect the world around us and it starts to change. That process may affect other people and they may choose to change with it, but we cannot directly make another person change. In fact, the harder we try, the harder they usually dig their heels in and resist the attempt.

A good neighborhood is one where you can take long walks, talk to the people you meet in the streets, sit under a tree, enjoy a beautiful vista, relax. It's a place where you feel at peace and connected to your world.

That life is fun!! And that so long as you have any energy at all, you should be throwing yourself into life 100%. You can always take a nap when you run out.

There are so many different ways to answer this question. First of all, I genuinely believe we are all connected and therefore no one is a stranger. But when it comes to talking to people I don't know, I do it pretty regularly. I like to talk to the people in line with me at the grocery store, servers at restaurants, fellow audience members at a show. Of course, is that really meeting them? Most people have their "I'm out in public" mask on and while they're friendly, they don't always get to that place of being real with you. I had the privilege of going on two different retreats last year and walked away with a combined 47 new friends, people I really felt like I'd gotten to know and who saw the REAL me at my core. To go from being essential strangers to lifelong friends in a week is a pretty amazing experience and I feel blessed for it.

My favorite way to see in the new year is with a few close friends. Nothing really big or extravagent. This year I'm thinking having a few friends over to play games would be fun.

I'm a light person. :) My body responds to light, so I wake up with the sun and get sleepy when it is dark. That said, I'm not necessarily a morning person. I'm really far from social in the mornings, much more likely to be chipper in the afternoons. But when it comes to productivity, mornings all the way. By 3 or 4, I'm slowing down, not so into getting things done, more into relaxing and letting go...
